About the MBC Lakes Association
The MBC Lakes Association represents the collective voice and shared stewardship of Maple, Beech, and Cameron Lakes, nestled in Ontario’s scenic Algonquin Highlands. Formed by a group of dedicated cottagers and full-time residents, the Association is a volunteer-led organization focused on preserving the health, beauty, and enjoyment of our lakes for generations to come.

Our Mandate
Our mission is to protect the environmental integrity of our lakes through education, collaboration, and community involvement. We support initiatives that promote clean water, healthy shorelines, and responsible recreation, working alongside conservation authorities and local government where appropriate. The MBC Lakes Association does not engage in community disputes or by-law enforcement; rather, we focus on shared interests that benefit the broader lake community and the natural environment we all enjoy.

What We Do
Each year, we host an Annual General Meeting (AGM) featuring guest speakers who present on a range of topics related to lake welfare — from invasive species and water quality to shoreline restoration and safe boating practices. In addition, we provide seasonal newsletters, email updates, and a platform to share photos, stories, and news from around the lakes. Through our collective efforts, we aim to build a stronger, more informed community that works together to protect and celebrate these special places.
